If this is true, I may hook it up to alert me at home. then I can go to the shop and have some real fun. I am only about five to ten minutes away depending on traffic. I bet three minutes if I just floor the gas all the way there.

Sorry about punctuation errors and capitalization mistakes. I have a temporary problem with motor control in my right hand and screw up sometimes. I am getting worn out constantly correcting it. I'm not retarded and realize the mistake. Sorry folks... we just have to live with it for awhile.
I hope your recovery is a full and quick one 03lightningrocks.

I like the idea of a camera sending me an alert, but I wonder if I could set the range properly so a kid riding by on their bike doesn't set it off. I would grow tired of constant false alarms and would probably end up feeling like the boy who called wolf one too many times. I have this problem with my motion lights on the front of my house. I can't seem to find that sweet spot yet. It either doesn't come on when I want it too, or it lights up as someone walks past by the street. I'm still working on it though. Just my .02

JNMAR wrote:Glad it turned out benign for you Keith. By the way that was nice video quality...mind sharing make, model, and software used?
Cam is just an Airlink AICN500W in a home-built weatherproof enclosure outside, and the software is from a company called Blue Iris
How is the nighttime video?
I think WildBill wanted to see night time footage to gauge the cameras image quality in low or no light conditions.

I have been looking into a video survailance system such as this, and I think I may have found an answer. Thanks Keith, and great work on being a good witness. :thumbs2:
