Re: Obama and Guns

I think the current administration's hand in Fast and Furious is nefarious enough to be righteously concerned. Holder is falling on his sword to keep the blowback off of Obama.

Comments to a San Francisco crowd about bitter people clinging to their guns and religion.

Behind the scenes discussions with the Brady Bunch regarding work towards gun control.

And now, between the Wisconsin and Colorado shootings, we are starting to see bills proposing the restriction of guns. As of today, those would only be kept in check by the House IMO. If they were to reach Obama's desk, he'd sign them in a heartbeat otherwise he'd completely annihilate his base.

Many fears about his gun control agend have not materialized because there hasn't been the proper environment for them to incubate.

These days, who do I think would be more likely to sign bills restricting guns or ammunition? Obama. Though he won't push for them actively like he has the Affordable care act or jobs bills, that doesn't mean he wouldn't sign them with a big flouish and all of the gun grabbers applauding wildly behind him.

Romney, the slimy politician that he himself is, has a different base to be beholden to than he did in Massachusetts. He is a politician, not an idealogue.
