Re: This Day In Texas History - April 15
1968 - The longest scoreless game in baseball history was played at the Astrodome on this date in 1968. The Astros and Mets went 24 scoreless innings until in the bottom of the 24th, with the Astros loading the bases, a grounder slipped through the legs of Mets shortstop Al Weis to end the game. We...

Just got a S&W 642 for my birthday a few days ago, and a handsome set of Badger Grips were a welcome addition today. They really add some character to the gun.

Re: Pictures Of Your Daily Carry
Depending on the weather/dress code/where I'm going/my mood, I carry one (or more) of the following: Most of the time it's a Sig Sauer P238 in a Crossbreed Minituck (not pictured) with a spare mag in the left pocket. Some of the time though it's in an RKBA pocket holster (pictured). Ammo is currentl...

Re: Stoeger reviews
Anybody have any personal reviews on a Stoger 12ga sxs? I was looking to get one, but for $400 I question if the quality is there. :fire Stoeger is owned by Beretta and for whatever you might think of Beretta's pistols, they make the finest shotguns on the market. If it was me, I'd go for it. That ...

Re: Stoeger reviews
I have had only one experience with a Stoeger, so take this as you wish. Last season I was hunting down in South Texas and I inquired about my uncle's shotgun that I had never seen before. He told me that it was a Stoeger (not sure what model), and that it used the same action as a Benelli for just ...

Re: Crimson Trace Distance Daylight
Or a Kimber! OR you can go the dirty harry route. :biggrinjester: Lasers are still great for a EDC CCW though. I have a Kimber and it's by far my favorite pistol that I own. I thought about getting another one to bang up, but a (relatively) cheap pistol that holds 15 rounds of 10mm sounds like just...

Re: Crimson Trace Distance Daylight
With a Crimson Trace Laser (LG-312), what is the maximum distance of the laser in the daylight? :txflag: The problem is the daylight reduces your ability to see the beam at any great distance. If you are indoors it still works pretty well, but out on the street in a bright sunny day, for get it! Yo...

Re: HEB walk
In drawing my G22, my trigger finger has never touched the trigger, so I almost feel comfortable having a cartridge chambered. My WW, will be with a loaded magazine, but not one in the chamber. It may be a while before I am comfortable with that. I totally understand that. It took me a few months b...

Re: Good .22 auto
I have a Ruger 22/45 and love it. It's nice having the same controls as a 1911.
The only bad thing about the Ruger line, in my opinion, is the disassembly and reassembly. It seems far more complicated than necessary and I'm constantly referring to the manual when cleaning it.

You might want to check out the Diamondback 380. I've never shot one, but I've heard good things. Maybe someone here can give you their opinion on it.

Well darn. I had planned to make it out to my first 3-gun match this weekend, but unfortunately I'll be out of town on the 20th.
I guess there's always next month...

Re: Kimber Opinions?
I own a Kimber Tac Pro II and absolutely love it. It is certainly my favorite pistol that I own. It points like a dream for me. Once I got through 300 rounds of break-in, I haven't had a single problem with it with any ammo. At 5'8" - 150, it's a little big for IWB carry under a t-shirt for me ...
