Re: Refinishing in Houston Area?

I have been thinking about trying to apply duracoat myself. Can not find a local supplier with it in stock. (Houston)

Re: Refinishing in Houston Area?

The two older firearms I woudl liek to get reblued to matchteh original finish. The other two I would like a more modern finish akin to duracoat, robard finish etc. Most of the modern aplied finishes are comparable. I have just been unable to locate/get any references.

Refinishing in Houston Area?

I am looking to see if anyone knows of and has had some experience with getting a firearm refinished by someone in Houston, TX or even in Texas? I do as much as I can to keep my money as local as posssible. I have a couple of firearms that are in dire need and 2 that are just for grins.

Re: Don't tell everybody!!

I just do not see how discussing a topic is a show of disrespect. No two people are going to agree on everything. Any topic can be discussed respectfully or disrespectfully. Being tackful, utilizing acceptable language, and tone governs the level of respect shown to others in a converation, even mor...

Re: Don't tell everybody!!

Guess I just see it diffferently. I do not see any reason that we should be afraid to discuss the topic and show support. How do we expect others to learn accept carry if we are unwilling to share our thoughts. Like I said you do not need to scream out I'm Packing(to each thier own), but we should n...

Re: Tickest and CHL

Good to hear. By everything I was able to read including the law book handed out at the class. I could find nothing stating that it should, but this is the first citation I have had in over ten years so I guess I just got nervous.

Re: Don't tell everybody!!

I agree no one should attempt to force thier believes on anyone else. Everyone has the right to believe just about anything they wish as long as it does not infringe on the rights of others. That is my point, a civil discussion about as topic is just that a conversation between free men. If you no l...

Re: Don't tell everybody!!

This topic points out a flaw our society and how we have been conditioned to think. Concealed means concelaed I get that as far as the law goes. But, by saying we should not tell anyone we have our license: are we then not promoting that what we are doing is an aboration and is not nor should not be...

Re: LWRC M6A2

I was a little suprised myself. I parttly attributed it to the mechanical system, but the bolt is alot beefier so the added weight moving to the rear could be a contributer as well. Either way it was worth it. It was a very pleasant bonus how much cleaner it was.

Re: LWRC M6A2

It shot very well. I was suprised by the snappier feel. We had another gas operated AR there for comparison. The gas system seemed spongy compared to the piston system. The M6 seemed accurate enough, did not try to test the accuracy, was having too much fun running Three gun training drills. Went wi...
