Re: The Mosin family.
G26, I haven't either. Ya I think we need to give her a go. I'm working on another 38 but not sure if it will work out. I got this one from the gun show in Conroe. They actually had 3 there and I hadn't even seen one before that. The others I got off a forum member wolfsjager I think was his id. Good guy to deal with. I need some more bruises.

Well I done did it again. Picked up a couple MO marked rifles, one being an ex-sniper. An ex-dragoon and my first M38 carbine.

Re: The Mosin family.
The guy that started the site, Ted, pays for it all and keeps it strictly about collecting since there are a lot of forums about shooting in general. Something about costs and his preference to keep it easy to find stuff about collecting. I asked about a sniper I was looking at when I first started and it got deleted because it was a fake. Heck I didn't know at the time. That's why I was asking. Its nothing personal.

Ya I'm on that site a lot. I bought two of mine from a forum member there. They are pretty strict but they do know their stuff.

Re: The Mosin family.
If it has a box with a slash in it on the stock it is for sure a refurb from Ukraine. It never stops at one. Enjoy.

Re: The Mosin family.
I got hooked on them after my first one from Cabelas for $90. The history behind them and all the different variations and stamps intrigued me. I started with a couple of common refurbs then went for ones in older stocks as I stumbled across them. As high as electricity bills are maybe only a couple of months
