The XDtalk forum exploded with people just out of their minds and bent out of shape about the recall itself, then the SA handling of the recall, the SA stating they are overwhelmed, then the rumors and gossip, etc.

Now, that the SA has posted a FAQ page with a first hand info on the turnaround time, things have calmed down significantly. But for awhile, it was an absolute circus over there.

The same thing happens on all manufacturer specific forums whenever there is a recall. There's really no reason for it and it blows over rather quickly. Heck, forums explode whenever there's multiple reports of an issue, and the manufacturer has not issued a recall and/or has no plans to. I've seen it on the Glock forum, the Sig forum, the Diamondback forum, the and Ruger forum, to name a few in the last few years. I still see no reason for a panic.
