I have a good belt and have had good holsters, and their still less comfortable IWB than OWB for me. A lot depends on the individual, and there is no "one size fits all" approach. But, you're correct, a good belt is key. MHOJumping Frog wrote:I am a firm believer that a good quality gunbelt is the key to comfort.
A good quality gunbelt with a crummy holster is quite comfortable, whereas a great holster with a crummy belt is uncomfortable.

Re: Uncomfortable carrying
I found after being uncomfortable with IWB carry for several years, that OWB was worth a try. Quite a difference. I use a high ride OWB, and it's very comfortable. No need to change my entire pants/shorts wardrobe to two sizes larger. Of course, as I am retired now, I have no need to tuck in my shirt, so I don't, and come to think of it I don't need to shave everyday either, and the big plus is that every day is SATURDAY!usmcmech wrote:Thanks for the advice everyone.
My belt isn't uncomfortably tight. The main problem was that the pistol was digging into my ribs (I'm fairly short) so I made some adjustments to my holster so it would ride lower.
I've been told to carry everywhere, everyday for week just to get used to it.
