I used mine last year when in New Orleans and they wanted my ID to get into the Casino. After staring at it for a very long time and asking where I got it, the lady finally let me through. She said that it must just be the new Texas DL's that she hadn't seen yet. She never actually noticed it was a CHL (no I was not carrying as I was not sure if it was legal in a casino, but I was with a police officer friend of mine who was carrying!
)That is the only time I have ever used it as an ID, I wasn't too worried about being outed since I didn't bring a gun to NOLA because of my travel partner.
