No, it really doesn't. All these comments seem to be coming from frustration about a few of the bigger/more controversial bills and ignoring all the bills that have passed. The Governor has a machine to work within. If he could simply add and pass them I'm quite sure he would.

I know someone that is close to him but not from a political position and as "just a guy/friend/Dad" you' might be surprised how much he is on "our" side.

I'm hoping after this session though, Charles can share more insight that might help us understand the political wrangling and roadblocks. It's frustrating even if you understand there are reasons you won't understand or ever even know existed.

Oh, that was early at the beginning of the special session, I think before Perry set the agenda. I thought there was something else more recently once the session was underway.

I don't think it's that simple, but the grade comes from the questionnaire as it's been explained many times. I believe Charles has even commented about how much weight can be put on the grade. It's just a part of many things, but also, we don't know what's going on inside and often loose sight of the big picture of everything the Legislature is working with.

There's nothing to be surprised about because that rating comes from a questionnaire. Someones personal opinion based on a specific event isn't relevant to the survey.

From what Charles has and hasn't said, it sounds like there's more to what's going on this session than we will know until the session is over. When you look at the number of bills that DID pass it's pretty impressive, even if the hot issues aren't part of that list. My fingers are crossed that the fat lady isn't even close to signing yet, but we'll see.

While it's beyond disappointing, people still seem to misplace blame. If Perry knows something has no chance at all, why waist a ton of taxpayer money and resources adding it?

Between Dewhurst and Straus it seems they can pretty much dictate what happens. Of course let all 3 know how you feel, but Perry can't be given all the blame.
