Thank you. I think my work is getting better, not as good as your's, but getting there.
My next project is a minimalist IWB. Not a pouch and clip type (although that is on the paper also), but a semi-slide tuckable. I hope
I'm taking pictures from concept to finish and if anyone is interested, I'll post them when I'm done.

Re: Homemade Leather Holsters
I've pretty much a similiar set-up. Home made work table, some not so good lighting (fixing that will help a lot!) a scattering of tools and a determination to learn and make something useful.
I've been working my tail off the last 2 weeks and haven't had time to work on anything, but I'm trying to come up with an IWB design to make on my next break. Tomorrow it's off to Colorado Springs for a few days. I'll buy some more leather, a few more tools when I get home and see what I can turn out.
Post your pics, don't be embarrased. I put mine up, and they don't come near what these other guys are doing.

I've been thinking about doing this on my next one.Baba Brad wrote:My newest. I actually did some decoration on this one. Basic pancake design for my SW40VE.
Thank you. I tend to prefer basic colors or twotone stuff. River rat makes some beautiful stuff, but it's not me....
Your holsters are really nice. Simple, yet elegant. The kind of work I'm striving for. My next holster for me is going to be an IWB. I love my Supertuck, but want to see if I cna make an IWB that's as comfortable and durable as my OWBs.

Re: Homemade Leather Holsters
I deicded to try my hadn at making my own holster also. My first effort was "okay" but these 2 came out really well. NOthing fancy, simple slide style that hold my gun tight and close to my body. Both are very comfortable, been wearing one of them every day for about a week now.
This was my first attempt
Wanted holsters that were sturdy and practical. I'm currently working on a crossdraw holster for my Beretta 950. Designed to be worn at about the 11 o'clock position. Handy while driving. The next few holsters I work on I'll try a bid of embellishments, stamping borders and such.
Off to Tandy for more leather...
