Re: Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut

Yeah, I made way too much for my blender to hold with the ice added for the 1st batch.
For the 2nd batch I'm going to use what I poured off from the first batch and warm it up on the stove a bit to see if I can get rid of the coconut lard.

Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut

I was trying out my new blender tonight by making my first batch of pina coladas and using the Coco Lopez cream of cocnut, now here is my question...
Should the product be smooth, like condensed milk or be in a semi-solid state?
The reason I ask is because I had to use a can opener to get to the stuff and then pry it out with a spoon.
Once I got it out it looked like 1/4 of the can was oil and the other 3/4 of the can was like crisco or lard.
After the batch was made the semi-solid part lingered around it itty bitty pieces that can be felt while drinking....yes, like drinking pina colada flavored lard bits. Fantastic huh?
For those of you that have use it is this normal?
I did put it in the fridge but only like 10 min before i got to the drink making, I dont know if that had anything to do with it or not.
