My wife qualified with her revolver against my better judgement. She got to the point to where she just did not like going to the range anymore as the gun hurt her hand (S&W Airweight). For Christmas, I got her an XD9 subcompact and she again loves to go to the range. But she cannot carry as her...

Re: Went OWB Conceal Carry Today

Congrats on pulling it off. I would like to OWB but the thought of my cover shirt riding up or jacket blowing open keeps me from attempting it. I know some here in these parts that do, but with West Texas wind, not sure if I could keep covered. Maybe I oughta try it at home while working the yard an...

My wife and I shot overlayed tagets for our CHL and she wanted to laminate hers and hang it on the front door. "rlol" I think her score was a 290.

Re: Lubbock: Stranded driver shoots at man who tried to help

It's messed up when you try to help someone and they throw lead at you. :mad5

I used to stop and help when someone was stranded but since I've got kids now, I am more and more reluctant to help anyone for this very reason.

Re: If you could only have one gun...

Dang it, you had to add the 1911 part. I'm trying to save up for a Springfield 1911. But to stay within the guidelines of the thread, I would say an XD40 or a Glock. I shot my friends Glocks a few weeks ago and kept a pettern of 3" in 10 shots, had never shot it before.

Re: Reciprocity vs Permit

My understanding of reciprocity is like a drivers license... it will work in the other state, just understand their laws before you get there. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Re: State Capitol security update, Austin Statesman 1-29-10

I would have thought the Capitol would be a government building and a gunfree zone anyway. My understanding from this says with a CHL, you can carry at the Capitol. Am I wrong on this?
