Carrying a handgun without a license is normally a misdemeanor. In a place that sells alcohol, it's a felony. The sign serves as notice so that someone who is caught cannot plead ignorance of the fact that the place sells alcohol.jnkirk1974 wrote:Isn't a sign like that just common sense? It's also perfectly legal to walk around with a rifle or shotgun, though obviously few people do it. That also becomes a felony if the person goes into a place that sells alcohol.
