Garland Public Shooting Range Stay Bullet
Big problems for the Garland Public Shooting Range. Looks like a stray bullet is being blamed comming from the range. http://www.wfaa.com/news/local/Rowlett-man-injured-by-mystery-bullet-can-no-longer-make-ends-meet-97707809.html I am not sure I believe them that a 22 could travel that far and do th...

Re: The bank in my Walmart was robbed!
The story mentioned that a note was given. Most bystanders probably just seen someone run off from the bank teller. Unless you see a weapon pointed at someone like a teller it would take 10-20 seconds to process the information by that time there out of the store. In this situation I would not have ...

Re: Beware Fraud at Well Known Gun Auction Site !!!
Besides, they will only see you "by appointment". I called them and tried to pay FTF, but every time slot that I requested to meet was "unavailable". Finally, I asked what was available and they said that they're only available to meet with customers for a couple of hours on Fri...

Re: Beware Fraud at Well Known Gun Auction Site !!!
One particular auction site with broker in it is a scam. They will do anything to protect sellers that are defrauding. I avoid them completely now better deals elsewhere. They usually delete negs and will ban the buyer from there site. The first thing I noticed is a lot shill bidding going on there ...

Re: Disarm in Public School Parking Lot, Firearm left in the
This law has lots of exceptions if you look closely. I wonder if there has been a case anywhere brought by a person who just locked a gun in the car under it. I would think a good lawyer could get you off fairly easy. Just keep it in the car and you will fine. To me it looks more like a tool a prose...

Re: Disarm in Public School Parking Lot, Firearm left in the
IIRC, the federal "Gun Free School Zone" extends 1000 feet from the property, not just to the parking lot. Just driving through the area a block or two over from the school with a pistol (and no CHL) is a violation. I almost guarantee you that any police officer could find a law you were ...

Re: No Gun Apartment Lease?
Lease contract says ... No pets allowed? Imma miss "Ole' Bessie" I am a landlord had tenant sneak in pets into the house I was renting. I couldn't evict them over that. I had a clause the pound could pick them up. I called the pound and they refused to get involved told me they had a leas...

Re: Carrying at School Function?
My thought it is this. If you know the School is sponsoring and event you should not carry. That the way I read the law. In this case since your chaperon the event you obviously know it is a school event. If your joe public staying in the hotel and just show staying at the hotel you would be fine ca...

Re: No Gun Apartment Lease?
Does not matter what the lease says. When you lease the apartment you have certain rights. One those rights is the right to own anything legally. You have the right to own a gun so you have the right to store it. To evict you they would have to take you to court. I am not a lawyer but I doubt they c...

Re: Taurus 738 TCP Problems FYI
My TCP failed to lock back the slide on the second mag fired new out-of the box. After three mags worth of further firing, both mags failed to drop from the grip on mag release. My call to Taurus customer service was answered tolerably quickly and the service rep was courteous, helpful, efficient a...

Re: Gun Stores Near Little Elm
I would also recommend Sporting Arms in Lewsiville. They have some inventory but you can order anything you want from them and there prices are really good. If you need a FFL also look at using Tom Hart in Plano. I go to bullet trap to shoot and then browse guns. I very rarely do I buy from them tho...

Re: ammo on sale
I was able to get 2 boxes over the weekend of 380 at Academy in West Plano along the toll road. They had a limit of 2 boxes at the time for 14.99 (it was monarch brass but it goes bang). Academy has been the best place for me to find most of the other calibers locally when I need 9mm 40s&w and 4...
