Re: Garland Public Shooting Range
Went there today to help a buddy zero his new AR and just to check mine and re-zero if necessary (was necessary). I agree with the previous posts, get there early, it's a big range but you should be fine if you get there early. Also, when you put up a target if you have a happy trigger finger, take ...

Here's three of mine in action, and several that aren't black guns as well.

Re: EOtech
I have a DPMS AR-15 223 that I barely ever shoot, usually brong it with me when I go hog hunting just in case there is a bunch under the feeder, nothing like a 30 round magazine  Anyways, I have always wanted an EOtech red dot scope but they are real pricey, especially when I only put maybe 10...

Re: To Chamber or not to Chamber?
Thank you Charles, very helpful information and I will definitely practice, practice, practice. Unfortunately we don't live near you, we're in the D/FW area, but thank you very much for the offer of help. If you carry and you're concerned about your holstering/drawing skills you could always...

Re: To Chamber or not to Chamber?
A definitive answer to this can be ascertained from tactical training schools, I do not know of any that train without a round chambered. I beleive that the Israeli special forces carry like this, however, I wouldn't recommned it either (for the average guy anyway). Buy a new gun that you're are co...

Quick question on relatives property?
I was reading through here and saw that in TX you couldn't carry openly, i.e., without your concelament garment on a relatives property.... This leads me to ask, can you carry openly on your own property in TX? And, can you carry openly on your relatives property with their permission?

Re: FNH Five-seveN
You could be opening yourself up to lawsuits carrying that kind of weapon for self defense if you ever had to use it. The same way you would with a gun with hair trigger, armor piercing rounds, etc. These are for the most part myths as there has never been any test cases to prove it. The only one I...

Re: 1-4x scope advice
Check out US optics, Burris Optics, Nightforce Optics, Ior Valdada, and there are plenty others that are making 1-4+ optics out there. For the price I don't think you can beat the Millett DMS.

Re: Just moved to TX
OK, thanks that's the way that I interpreted it as well. I've already changed my address information with FL state but haven't gotten new plastic yet. It's 15 bucks, it's on my to do list. Thanks for helping. One of the great things about Florida is you don't have to pay for new plastic unless you ...
