It really is that easy... In my limited experience.
I've had two traffic stops since my CHL. Both times proceeded just as described above. Both times received a "Thank You" from the officer.
One was a ticket, 78 in 65 on 35 in Lewisville, other time was a warning for no signal on turn.
Was not disarmed either time.
