Re: Ruger - Easy Representative Letter

Here is another tool, similar but different

You can choose E-mail or send a printed letter

And not so "form-lettery" ... but you can say what you want, whether they read them or not

http://www.capwiz.com/nra/issues/?style=D&%20%E2%80%A6" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

We might want to save this one for 2013 Texas Leg Session as it has a State one too.

Last time I nearly wore out faxzero with my 42 E-mail addresses so this time I can add printed letters + Emails :biggrinjester:

Abraham wrote:RPB,

In general, your opinion on this rote style communication is...?
It keeps the Assistants in the Legislative offices busy and they tell the legislators "we're getting tons of responses to ... or to not ...
Legislators don't read them; out of State anti-campus-carry anti-gun people sent tons to Tex Leg about campus carry using similar tools in 2011 ... do we have campus carry?
IIRC, the tool in 2011 came from an New York or DC organization, possibly CSGV or Andy Pelosi's New York KeepGunsOffCampus

My opinion of it doesn't matter, it's a tool; one of many.
I wrote individual E-mails and faxes in 2011 ... but mine got lost in their flood of automated ones.
We really got outnumbered with their automated things like this; we don't have campus carry yet...it must have value; the aclu.org still uses it after all these years.

Re: Ruger - Easy Representative Letter

ACLU.org has used this exact same method for years on various issues.
They used to allow you to edit their form letter, so I'd edit it to the opposite of what they wanted, and they'd send it
Then they stopped allowing you to edit their form letters

try the address next door ... just sayin.... then you'll see them drive up and you can go out the back to the grocery store real quick... "rlol"

Some of the out of Staters in 2011 found Real Estate ads for sale and used those addresses when they wrote Texas legislators trying to prevent campus carry last term ... not honest, but they did.
