Re: Gunfire during Dark Night Rises

I'll just guess...

Virginia Tech, Aurora etc, some laid on top of people laying on the floor to shield them from bullets, that didn't do anything to stop the shooter shooting others

Some at VT tried to fight back against the shooter, they were unsuccessful, but tried to protect more than the one person the others covered, by stopping the threat.

Jumping on a grenade (assuming there's only one grenade, which it may or may not be) may not stop the grenade thrower, though it attempts to minimize shrapnel which can harm many people.... still doesn't stop the thrower.

Jumping on a person to shield them is less predictive of harm than jumping on a grenade though,

Don't make me think ... it's the weekend.

Re: Gunfire during Dark Night Rises

I suspect that as that former Californian Democrat "new gun owner's" THC level drops, his reality will become more realistic and less experimental, theoretical and the time he does will be perceived in a different manner than his Temporal Illusions.

Re: Gunfire during Dark Night Rises

Sadly, I imagine the odd facial expressions he had in court ... were him mentally attempting to change the past.

Seriously

Temporal Illusion - The Butterfly Effect

http://www.businessweek.com/news/2012-0 ... as-student" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
During science camp at a community college in San Diego six years ago, Holmes focused on temporal illusion, a distortion in perception that he described as “an illusion that allows you to change the past,” according to a video of a presentation released yesterday by ABC News.

The Butterfly Effect (movie Sci-Fi 2004)
He finds he has the ability to travel back in time to inhabit his former self and change the present.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0289879/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Butterfly_Effect" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Last year, Holmes was one of a half-dozen students admitted to the neuroscience graduate program on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, which focuses on the workings of the brain with an emphasis on processing of information, behavior, learning and memory,” according to a statement from the school.
‘Significant Contributions’

Holmes, along with five other students, had his research funded by a National Institutes of Health grant aimed at training “outstanding neuroscientists and academicians who will make significant contributions to neurobiology,” the school said.

Holmes was paid a stipend of $26,000 a year under the grant
That's science you pay for with taxes, so lets see if his experiment works; if he can change the past after execution ...

Was it "Logans Run" or "Soylent Green" where the right to exist was restricted to those under 30? Then, they recycle.

Even the Chief of Police said "Assualt" and he was totally wrong!

Please tell all your Producers and Anchors to stop using this term. It is incorrect and plays into the LEFT's Agenda!

The rifle he used was a semi-automatic Armalite Rifle (AR) - Not Assault!
FYI an Assault Rifle is a SELECT FIRE (or full auto) Rifle. NOT a semi-automatic. Big difference and your Anchors sound pretty foolish using this inaccurate term.
I don't think anyone and that includes FOX news really cares whether or not they get the terminology right. I do applaud your efforts in this matter.

And on one national news station ..that rifle and the Glock both can have an "extended clip" used in them.

Well, they both have one of those handle things you hold to yank the trigger dealie and those curvey bullet holders and probably the same color so .. oh and I hear they both can use one of those military sling thingys like the meanest assault rifles use...

Not too many places for anyone to get a clear shot. The police chief said they were there within a minute and a half after they received notification of the incident. Still don't understand though why the guy ran amuck for 15 minutes before there was a 911 call made. :confused5
Yep, and a "noise" came from his apartment last night which should have gotten a complaint for police to investigate there ... diverting resources away from the theater so he'd have more time.
