Search here for USACE, but ...Well, the easiest way to find out (for any body of water in Texas is TPWD..AustinBoy wrote:RE: Corps of Engineers property whether it is leased by another entity or not. Now that one is confusing at times...
So my parents live up by Lake Texoma.
My understanding is that the lake and most of the property around it is owned/managed by the Corps of Engineers.
Can I not carry around the lake? In boat?
How do I find out more about this one?
Thanks

So, nope, can't carry there on their land nor in a boat. (Doesn't matter Texas or Oklahoma, you just can't ... the Feds say so)
(Unless a Commander gives you written permission ... and they don't)
Personally, I'd like our TPWD to stop stocking "their" waters with MY money to improve fishing on THEIR lake to bring more tourists income to the USACE.
Put those fish WE paid for and paid to raise in OUR lakes.
(This was a pet peeve of mine, but I resolved to not spend a penny near USACE places. I probably should pull up letters for all the NEW legislators though and modify them to suggest no longer subsidizing the USACE lakes with our money.
