Good answer.CowboyEngineer wrote:Unless I know the person, I would mind my own business move away from the person as there is no way to know if they are carrying legally or what their intentions are.

Re: Grip Screws on Kimber Super Carry Pro
You can use a small amount of blue threadlocker. I like the Loctite stick version, but the liquid works, too. Other people put a small oring on the screw before inserting it. I haven't tried that, my understanding is that #60 size works(SAE 1/4 x 1/8 x 1/16 th (inches)) or there is a fancier version...

Re: Status of gun and ammo industries
It's sad ain't it... If you've got a .38 or .380 or .32 it can be fairly easily found. But finding ammo is like trying to get that one piece you need to win the McDonalds Monopoly game.... Very frustrating.... :banghead: Maybe I should stock up on .38 just in case I can't replenish my 9/40/45. Of c...

Re: TxDOT updates CHL policy for employees
I'm still seeing it being prohibited here on page 8: http://ftp.dot.state.tx.us/pub/txdot-info/icp/standards_conduct.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Apparently they haven't updated that link since Nov 2011. There have been several revisions since then, including the Dec...

So if you refuse they let you board anyway?

Re: TxDOT updates CHL policy for employees
I don't work in the field, so I carry iwb and with a tucked shirt. Sounds like you need long shirts or consider carrying iwb to make less of it show if it gets accidently exposed. Maybe pocket carry would be a good idea. What office did you contact in Austin? I would check with maybe OGC for their l...

Re: TxDOT updates CHL policy for employees
I don't find anything in the policy that gives the DDOR authority to require a copy of your license, or for that matter to even require you to tell them you are carrying. That sounds to me like they are freelancing beyond their authority, much like the HOU district did when they said they wouldn't p...

Re: Factory sportswear versus concealed means concealed
No, I don't look to see who is carrying because I simply don't care. I do look to see who looks suspicious - if they do, I watch their hands and mannerisms. I'd rather be doing that and see potential trouble as soon as they make any kind of move, which would actually be useful information, rather th...

Re: Gun Control Distraction
Obama has successfully put us into an unwinnable situation. If we ignore this distraction, he gets disarmament and he wins. If we agressively fight this latest attack on our individual rights, the headlines aren't mentioning Fast and Furious, Bengazhi, the economy, illegal appointments, and the ple...

Re: Rally Feb 8 please attend
It's actually easier for me to take a few hours off of work on a Friday than it is to fit it in on a weekend, so I will be there. Other commitments kept me from the last one. It may help for the reps to be able to see us in person, too.

Re: Gender gap on gun issues massive
I converted my wife to be in favor of my concealed carry, still working on getting her to at least try shooting for the first time, then we can move on to getting her to carry. It's been a long process, but I have slowly eroded her objections to guns in general.
