Let's see-We're broke but the government hands out foreign aid all over the world. When I ponder this situation, I get an image of a man that can’t afford medical care for his family but gives his neighbor money for their medical care.baldeagle wrote:Apparently you haven't noticed that we're broke? You're living in a dream world where everything will go on as it always has. This country is collapsing, and it's only a matter of time before it's every man for himself. Medicare? In your dreams! Medicare should be the least of your worries. Start thinking about where your next meal will come from after the country goes bankrupt.Cedar Park Dad wrote:Once the ACA is fully implemented it will be nearly impossible to repeal. All this talk about the "blame for a government shutdown" is such bile it's hard to contain my disgust.
Obamacare is so bad, it's worth a shutdown. If avoiding a shut down means that a few more RINO's can get elected, well, are we really that much better off?
Some fights are worth fighting.
Whats wrong with Medicare? Are you against Medicare?
We are still “rebuilding” Iraq and I don’t know what we are doing in Afghanistan.
Why aren’t people yelling for the government to cut foreign aid? Why doesn’t the government close the military bases in countries where they don’t like us and don’t want us? Close the bases in those countries and relocate them to towns in the U.S. that would love to have them. Use the troops to patrol our borders. Then we could stop sending billions and people to Mexico to “help them fight the drug war”.
We need to stop playing “world cop” and get our own act together. I am serious about my question, Why aren’t people yelling for the government to cut foreign aid?
Everyone is running around screaming “the economy is about to fail”. “Stock up on food and ammo”. Then why the h don’t people do something about it before it happens? People should be marching in the streets demanding we get out of NATO and stop giving them billions of dollars. I know the answer to "Then why the h don’t people do something about it? but no one want to hear it.
