Corporations can own NFA items, and they do pay for the tax stamp. As contractors, they can also be issued government weapons. IIRC, one of the "arms trafficking" charges against Blackwater/Xe had something to do with diverting government-owned weapons into private hands overseas.

They were prosecuted for arms violations last year, for illegally exporting and transferring NFA arms.ifanyonecan wrote: I wonder how this would differ from other paramilitary civilian organizations, such as Xe Services (Blackwater). They have FA firearms, and, despite my researching, I haven't been able to find anything regarding whether they pay the $200 tax or if they have an exemption.
