There is a company that sells CHL insurance. It pays your legal fees up through the grand jury process. Not sure but it may pay to protect from civil suits also.

There are a couple of proposed bills that allow CHL's to keep a gun in their car, regardless of what their employer thinks. (They can prohibit gun in cars if the have secure parking lots.)
These bills provide for civil liability protection for employers if a CHL uses his gun.
NOTE: They do NOT provide for business liability protection if the business creates a gun free zone.
