30 years ago my brother in law got a degree in journalism from a good journalism college.
They taught him - who what where how why. I think there were two more, seven in all. That’s what a reporter was to find out and write about on each event.
Not much of that anymore.
After graduation, he got minimum wage to work at a newspaper. It never got much better. All the papers he worked for are long gone.
He’s a hospital nurse now.
The news is free, we get what we pay for.
Doubt young kids go to journalism school anymore.
