Not to discourage you but if you are this antsy for "processing application" to show up, you might want to consider a prescription for some anti-anxiety drugs. ;-)

Those 21 letters have spelled defeat for me many a day...

Re: 100+ Club

I got my CHL license in the mail today!!! :thewave By my calculations, it took 144 days from receipt of my application in Austin to plastic in hand today. I did not include the 2 months I wasted from the initial unacceptable prints letter to getting them back into DPS in that calculation. Granted, 3...

Re: A disappointing State Fair episode 10-1-09

From the Fair's FAQ section on items you may bring into the grounds - a gun? No, with one exception. A person holding a valid concealed handgun license is permitted to enter onto State Fair property with his/her concealed handgun. Licenses will be examined at the entrance by an authorized security s...

Re: 100+ Club

I got really tired of seeing "processing application" since my pin receipt back in July. So in a fit of menopause, I wrote a testy e-mail to the DPS right before I left town on Thursday evening. I returned to find this in my e-mail box today - "The license has been printed. You shoul...

Re: September 2009 Applications

CHL Lady - I too still see "processing application" even though I got the answer below from an e-mail from DPS on Friday - "The license has been printed. You should receive it within 1-2 weeks" You can read my signature on my wait time.  Good luck to the hubby! :tip...

Re: basic pistol training for mom DFW

Are there any basic classes closer to Dallas proper than Roanoke? Since I've applied for my CHL, a couple of my sisters-in-law have expressed a desire to learn about hand guns. None of them is likely to take to a 1-1/2 to 2 hour drive for a 4 hour class. :ack:

Re: 100+ Club

Thanks for the reply, Joe. I figured I was basically starting over with my 8/1 date. My fear is that they do one thing at a time, you know. After my FBI prints come back, will they will look at my picture and decide that it isn't acceptable? Then there is the issue that I got a new job and then was ...

Re: Changes to DPS Processing of CHL Applications

However, I agree that having to make an appointment with FAST and go to another location will be less convenient on the front end. I don't know what other instructors are going to do, but I will reduce the cost of my classes by the fee I pay to a LEO to roll the prints. (I don't charge for photos s...
