Re: Reduce Off-Limits Areas for Texas CHL’s

I like it. Especially the idea of turning the question around - The question should not be “why would you need a handgun,” it should be “is there a compelling reason to exclude handguns?” I do have one question and one point to add. The question: If there is already a prohibition against being into...

Re: Question for bike riders concerning Motorcycle Safety Co

I took the Safety class at a Harley dealership last year, the S turns inside the box was tough for everyone, I think I put my foot down once. I would say that 1 out 10 people did it without going outside the box or putting a foot down. This was pretty much my first time to ride a motorcycle and i pa...

Re: Interesting Situation

I probably would not have told them that the police were on their way. I would like to give the police a chance to catch them. I absolutely agree, Not sure why I said that, I guess it was my way of showing that he didn't fool me by acting nonchalant and that he belonged there , plus it ended the si...

Re: Interesting Situation

What survellance system is that, I have already been thinking about that but really didn't want to shell out a bunch of money, $200 sounds pretty reasonable.

Interesting Situation

First off, I want to thank all of those who post the WWYD scenarios and other various discussions. As this situation unfolded somethings I did were just second nature, I did make a few mistakes, but all in all reading all the info on this website IS useful. Sunday morning, around 12:45am, my sister ...

Re: Advanced Shoulder Arthritis - How To Deal With It?

Sorry to hear about your shoulder, doesn't sound like much fun.

Have you considered learning how to shoot left handed? Might not be a bad idea especially if you know you will not be able to use your right hand after surgery.

Re: Flower Mound Road Rager changes his mind

While that story certaintly had a good ending, I think she is just as guilty of road rage as he was. I guess once I got my CHL 6 years ago I quit doing things like she did in this story, and believe me, I used to be the same way. Just not worth it, all it does is increase your chances of having to d...

Re: List your highest priority issue for 2011

What does it do any goog when a firearm is allowed in a parked car when someone who eas just fired bust in and starr shooting the work place? You're right, it doesn't do any good in the situation you posted, but I think most people are more concerned with being disarmed on their drive to/from their...

Re: SA XD40 Springer Precision Trigger job

I had mine done a fews years back by Springer Precision and must say I have no complaints. Not sure what his backlog is like today as he has become more popular, but when I sent mine in I had it back in 2 days. Scott is a standup guy and easy to deal with. Also, I shoot with a bunch of guys who have...

Re: Teach me about the Impact Zone

1. How many bays are there, and are they limited to pistol/rifle/shotgun, etc? 2. What is the longest distance range available? I want to shoot my SPR so I was wondering. 3. If you make a trip, do you ever have to sit around waiting for a bay? I'm not a member but do shoot there with a club once a ...

Re: Late night drive thru encounter....and no gun.

Thanks for sharing, its another reminder to myself to practice drawing from my pocket holster while seated in my car. I carry a Keltec 380 in my front left pocket 80% of the time (XD the other 20%), if I was in your position I would have done the same thing as its pretty difficult to get to a holste...

Re: Sign questions

While I'm not an instructor, I can say that my instructor went over legal signs thoroughly. That said, I still think I learned more and gained more confidence on this forum about what signs are or aren't relavent to CHL holders.
