Re: Just did the Wally Walk... OC'ing!

Folks, I also think that situational awareness is everything. Looks to me like the subject walked into a place he shouldn't have, or at a time he shouldn't have. There probably are situations where a person walks into this situation and can't help it, but I sure try to steer away from that. GatoNegro

Just did the Wally Walk... OC'ing!

I am visiting my folks in Arizona. I just went to Wal Mart Open Carrying. Very little attention from the few people that even noticed, and I was the most concerned. It is a good feeling not having to worry about printing. I also stopped at a local convenience store and there were two ICE agents chit...

+1 on Marschal grips

I like marschal grips too, I was lucky enough that I found a pair being sold locally for my CZ Rami. Mine is a decoker model, so I had to sand the corner of the grip for the lever to come down fully, but it looks good http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v739/brunet01/RAMI/Modegrip2.jpg With a 10 Rd ma...

Re: Holy cow! IWB holster for this one?

About the Rossi Judge thingy, my question is, "Why?" Can't you just buy a .410 shotgun? Do people really want a .45 Colt/410 hybrid in a rifle with a revolver cylinder in place of a magazine? It looks like a goofy photo shop; and I bet it's horrific to clean. I thought the whole point of ...

Re: PT111 Mil Pro and Ammo Question

Tlynn, When in doubt, follow the manual. Personally, I don't like the 147gr ammo, I used it for testing because I wanted to make sure my daily carry is 100% reliable. I think that the 147 gr has more recoil, but I don't have a measuring instrument, so I didn't state that in my range report, I also t...

Taurus PT111 Mil Pro Range Report

This range report is also posted on Taurusarmed.net Went to the range in Fort Hood, Tx, on Monday 11 Jan 2010. I fired 300 rounds with my Taurus PT111 Millennium Pro 3rd Gen. I loaded a mix of 115 gr, 124 gr, 147 gr, JHP and FMJ, several times mixed in the same magazine, with no failures of any kind...

Re: Range in Ft Hood

Thanks for that update. I'll pass it along to my son and his wife (both active duty soldiers at Hood). They had the cutest little domestic squabble about the new home defense shotgun we bought them for Christmas: he called everyone in his chain of command about bringing it back to their post housin...

Range in Ft Hood

For anybody wandering about this, the Sportsman Range in Fort Hood is still open to privately owned weapons, still free. I went yesterday, fired about 400 rounds and had a good time. Just make sure your weapons are registered with the Provost Marshall and declare them at the gate as you go in. Regar...

Re: My new carry setup

I find the Kholster http://www.kholster.com/index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; very comfortable at 4 o'clock. Just wear it for a couple of weeks trying adjustments, and by then you would know where to trim the leather to make it smaller while retaining its comfort. Re...

Re: sherman chl incident

I always carry with a round in the chamber, safety on. I dropped my Taurus PT 111 in the floor in my bathroom. I froze up for second while my mind was racing with the thought "its gonna' go kaboom!": Nothing happened, but it scared the heck out of me. It is my daily carry and it is v...

Re: Just spent a couple of weeks in Arizona.....

It is not common. One of my in-laws, my friend and myself were carrying, and I didn't see anybody else. I can't figure out why people don't take advantage of something like that. If I was living in Arizona I wouldn't open carry every day everywhere, but it sure is handy when doing work on the truck,...
