the guide rod is in 2 pieces that screw together. that's where it was coming lose and where i was thinking may need loc-tite.

from the feed back i have received i may have been expecting more out of my self then was necessary. the shoots were groups none completely off the paper at 25 yards. i am a big person 6'4'' and 220 lbs so it dose feel a little lose in the hands, a friend of mine suggested hogue grips. i shoot .45 c...

thanks for all the advice. i think i will try new grips for it. the reason for me practicing at 25 yards is i have always been under the impression that you over shoot at practice what you are willing to shoot in practical application. as for Beretta i am not a fan and Glock didn't seem to be a big ...

thanks for the advice i think i will try the range a few more times before calling it a day on the 1911. other then the military firearms my experience has been mostly large single action revolvers. also what should i consider proficient for carry? last time i shot to qualify for the military it was...

nothing, every thing was smooth i have never been arrested fingerprints went in the system fine i have no student loans and im active duty military. there was no reasons for hang ups other then live and work in Galveston county.

i think i may be in the running for top 10 on here 220 days the told me a week ago Friday 1-2 weeks. if i receive it this week would there be a point to wright a letter to a rep from my area just so they could see the time line of how ridiculous this wait has been?
