People who can't put up a border between fantasy and reality are walking time bombs. That doesn't mean we should raze the entire forest because we can't predict a spark. All blame lies with the actor of evil blaming anything else is the slipperiest of slopes. I bet the inventor or the burka thought he was doing women a favor by stopping rapes. And yet rapes still occur in the Arab world. Even provable rape which must be witnessed by five men before it can go to court still occursJim Beaux wrote:Of course I accept that not all who are exposed to violent games & movies will become mass murderers, & I also agree that evil has existed since the first man walked this land, but, there is a correlation that exposure to violent media desensitizes. Certain music soothes while some increases agitation. Music was used at Guantanamo to "loosen up" some of the guests. (still to this day if I hear Debbie Boone singing "You Light Up My Life" I wanna kill) So I can accept being exposed to certain other forms of media stimulation can nurture violent behavior.
