Pearland is pretty safe. Pretty much anything outside of Harris County is pretty safe. There are exceptions. Pearland, sugarland, woodlands, Katy all of the surrounding "burbs" are good. There are places inside Houston like Bellaire, River Oaks, and Hunters Creek are all good but of course average home prices start 1 mill plus.03Lightningrocks wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 11:17 amMy only knowledge of Houston is that my son lives in Pearland. It appears the shootings took place in Southeast and Southwest Houston. If Houston is anything like Dallas, South tends to be where the majority of shootings occur. The couple fighting before she got ran over reminded me of something similar that happened here in Plano several years ago. Couple got into fight. He stops at the top of an overpass going over a major freeway and throws her off the bridge into oncoming traffic. If I remember right, he then jumped off himself.philip964 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 11, 2021 10:33 am https://abc13.com/houston-shootings-sta ... /10406492/

According to court records obtained by Eyewitness News, [Robert] Soliz, 24, was out on bond for unlawfully carrying a weapon in a motor vehicle on Feb. 15 when he was arrested.
He was given a $100 bail for that charge. In 2017, Soliz was accused of threatening his girlfriend at the time with murder.
[Sergeant Sean] Rios was killed Monday afternoon in the 7900 block of the North Freeway after police say he engaged Soliz in a gun battle. After being shot, Rios ran into the Taj Inn & Suites motel looking for help and collapsed. He was declared dead at the scene.

A further tragedy is that no media will report that she was an ardent gun control supporter. Bragged about it in her social media.philip964 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2019 8:32 pm https://www.click2houston.com/news/loca ... police-say
Mom murders her three children and then herself in Deer Park. Cute little kids. Such a shame.
Her Facebook page is open. Lost her mom recently.
When you see her kids, you can’t imagine her doing this.
Language warning.

The only ones I know of that are impact sensitive are snapping poppers. The ones that are in the little pieces of white paper and you throw them on the ground and they pop. It's made out of Armstrong's compound.Pawpaw wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2019 5:13 pmSome fireworks (or at least parts of them) are impact sensitive.Liberty wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2019 6:02 amCan you get a spark from lead and copper? Maybe from an .556 round with a penetrator? I suspect that someone was attempting to use fireworks as a weapon. As a kid, we used to shoot at rats against all kinds of things. We never saw sparks like they showed in the movies. It was kinda disappointing.
I suspect something else. Either they were playing with fireworks or the bullet hit a vaping battery something or a cell phone battery.
