It would be convenient when two "photo" ID's are required. I went through an experience with a check written by my renter. I presented it to the bank teller and initially they refused to cash it with only a TDL. I stood my ground all the way up to the bank manager and they finally cashed it. Then they demanded my right thumb print which was pretty stupid because I was wearing a compression glove and arm wrap and it was quite obvious I couldn't comply. I offered my nose print.
