A lot of folks have, shall we say, unenlightened employers. Thus, statutory contraints are not always the only considerations when making, to carry or not to carry, choices.

I dunno. I keep holding out hope that the reciprocity "backlog" we seem to have will eventually be taken care of. Meanwhile, at $20 and an easy application. NH looks like pretty good bang to buck ratio.

The point I'm making is that it would appear that nonapplicability per 46.15 only seems to work if you are carrying a concealed handgun and your CHL. In those instances where one might wish to leave the gun at home, you couldn't carry your illegal knife or club even with your CHL.

Naw, not GUN across the front, just a single letter endorsement with the secret decoder message on the back!

I don't know what all is contained in the magnetic strip, but it would seem your DL could be invalidated for whatever infractions, and you could still keep your card.

Why not do away with the photos & card completely? Have the CHL be an endorsement on your DL.
