Re: June 2009 Applications
I received my license today. That makes it 50 days from my drop-off at DPS to license in the mail. This was a renewal, so that may be why my time was shorter than what others are reporting.

Re: June 2009 Applications
I was fingerprinted at the DPS office using the FAST service. Does this mean my fingerprints are guaranteed to be accepted?

Re: June 2009 Applications
I dropped off a renewal packet on 6/17, and earlier this week my online status was still 'mailed packet to applicant'myopicweasel wrote:I dropped off my renewal packet today at DPS in Austin.
I didn't realize it was taking so long to process. My current license expires next month. Based on reports here it looks like I am going to be without a CHL for a little while.
This is my second renewal. The first only took 2 weeks to process and arrive after hand delivering the packet. Maybe I'll get lucky again...
I sent a quick note to DPS asking them to confirm that they received the packet and I just received a reply that the packet is indeed there and being processed. I looked at my online status and it has been updated to 'processing'
Anyone know the typical time from processing to plastic? I waited too long to renew, and my license expires next week. I'm hoping to not have to go very long without it.
