sskimber wrote:summary, of February's PCS IDPA
we got a late start first shot was around 10:00am
62 shooters, (estimated 15 new)
8 scenarios

I don't know when the shooting wrapped up but all score cards where turned in by around 3:45PM

I hope every one had fun.

Wow...62 shooters. That's the second month in a row that we've had about that many. We had a great time! I wish we could have stayed and finished the match. I am so sunburned...made a roookie mistake of forgetting sunscreen because it was chilly and overcast.

buffalo_speedway_tx wrote:WilliamKevin & TLynnHughes, Thank you for coming up and introducing yourselves today and making me feel welcomed. I have been wondering what IDPA was about and it was interesting watching the match today. I can see why people recommend it as the next step in improving your shooting. It definetly looked like a lot of fun.

I was wondering how long the entire match was? I only watch the 1 segment and a little of the next. No promises about next month, but after what I saw today I would definetly consider it. Thanks again! :tiphat:
You are so welcome. We always like meeting people from the forum.

We had to jet out about 2:15 or so and our squad still had two scenarios to go. I don't know what time they actually finished but I imagine it was close to 5:00. BUT...we got a later start than usual and there were a lot of people there today. They aren't usually that long.

Occasionally, SVRA comes to PSC with CompVest and does a Men's Program that's a little like a mini-IDPA training. The next time williamkevin or I hear of him coming down to PSC, we'll let you know in case you want to start with that. :thumbs2:

Look forward to shooting with you sometime!!

Re: IDPA at PSC

We had a great time today as usual. The morning started off a bit chilly, but it warmed up as the clouds moved out. The scenarios were fun and LOTS of folks showed up to shoot. Our clan didn't get to finish the match because things ran a bit long and we needed to get the heck out of there for another scheduled event. williamkevin and I got to meet buffalo_speedway_tx who came out to watch for a bit. I hope he joins us shooting a match soon. Thanks to Jeremae for doing a fine job as SO, despite some ammo issues. ;-)

Planning to shoot another match in two weeks at Thunder if the weather holds out!

buffalo_speedway_tx wrote:Is this event open to the public? If I wanted to come out and watch is that possible? Thanks in advance for your reply.
I don't want to speak for the event officials, but I'm almost positive it is open to the public. There are folks out there watching all the time. You should bring your gear though. It's awfully hard to watch and not want to shoot.
