Perhaps Charles Cotton(administrator/owner) of this forum, will chime in. I believe a 1911 is his daily carry.....or was for a number of years.

And if a LOT of Texas Rangers carry them, then it's good enough for me.

Both are great guns from what I've read, although I've never owned either pistol. I'd take either one in a heartbeat, if I were in the market.
