Get one of these.
When I was coaching my daughter's volleyball and softball teams a couple of years ago, they said they couldn't hear me when I would call them in or anything. Now, a few of you guys know me and know that I do not have a soft voice. I've worked on the flight deck of an aircraft carrier and can project my voice to be heard. Anyway, I got one of these whistles and they always heard it no matter what was going on. And we often have aircraft from Love Field and DFW overhead.

I guess I'm not familiar with this type of use of a shot timer. I thought they only kept track of the time a shot was fired after the buzzer sounded alerting the shooter to shoot. Can one also be used as a countdown timer that will buzz after 10 or 20 seconds or whatever it is set for?
