You mean as in "congress" if you enter the baboon area?
I thought he meant the snake house!

Elephants & Donkeys? :biggrinjester:
Nah. The zoo is smart enough to keep them separated! :rolll
Kinda like Congress and the Senate or the FBI and the ATF. Just different departments.

Re: Dallas Zoo

Too many animals escape from the Dallas Zoo for me not to carry there. I haven't been there yet, but if and when I do I will be carrying. I have carried at the FW Zoo.

So, they put something that is as close as possible(but not actually compliant) in an effort to deter CHL's from bringing fireamrs in. And it probably works fairly well.
Unless a new law was passed this year, it's not illegal for them to post the sign, but the sign is not valid notice for the 30.06 law.
You know it. We know it. They may know it. But, they don't care.

Re: Dallas Zoo

What I think is funny is that someone makes signs that have the correct wording in English and Spanish, but are too small and are making money off of places that put these up that don't know any better.

However, the sad part about this is if there is an officer or chief or DA that says they are close enough.

I seem to remember my DPD Sergeant friend telling me that the police keep one or two high powered rifles on hand for those big beasties now. Unless this guy had one near by I don't think anything he had in a holster was going to do much good.

I suppose just in case you have to take out an escaping lion, tiger, or bear? (Oh My!) :smilelol5:
Hopefully, I would only have to deal with the two legged beasts.
