This one feels the same. I tried to resist this one, but it finally sucked me in.
Return to “What is your favorite government program?”

This is the first time I've been accused of completely misunderstanding. I've missed one or two things now and then, but never completely misunderstood. There is just something about this statement that makes me think you are either not very knowledgeable of the military or have had a bad experience with the military or just plain don't care for it. I could be off on this because it is just a feeling.Frost wrote:Alright, I am willing to discuss federally backed student loans, GI bill, CMP or even the military, but I would prefer it not be the military. That is less likely to be a productive conversation I think. Just let me know if you are willing to discuss one of those at length as well.
This one seems pretty clear, but I guess I could also be wrong on this one.Unless I have missed something it appears that the only person who has identified a government program that they like is C-dub with The Navy. I can pursue that one if C-dub is up for it but I would prefer something with a more tangible benefit like roads, certainly there is someone who likes government roads?
This too seems clear and BDickens also mentioned that roads and bridges are the responsibility of the Fed according to the Constitution. You did ask the question about whether he or someone thinks they "should" be their responsibility and I asked if you thought they should be made toll roads for private companies to maintain. I think I prefer them to be the responsibility of the government. Isn't that what the bulk of our vehicle registration goes for? I do not like toll roads and avoid them when possible.I cant have a conversation with the constitution, do you think that bridges and roads should be done by the government?
Well, the government is responsible for the upkeep of our roads and bridges. Would you rather they all be toll roads and be taken care of by private companies?Frost wrote:I cant have a conversation with the constitution, do you think that bridges and roads should be done by the government?bdickens wrote:Bridges and roads are in the purveiw of the federal government according to the Constitution.
