Re: February Applications
well im still offshore and status still the same. wife tried to call dps and talk to them about where was the lost fingerprint card that we had the receipt dps signed for. would not talk to her because of prvacy laws even though she had all my info. but they said i could email them. well i have sent an email everyday since 8/1. no reply. i guess when i get home on 8-14 i will get reprinted again and overnite the prints. this sucks, and to think my taxes pay for this bull#$&# program. something needs to be done. by the time i get my license it will be wll over 200 days. orginal packet received 2-27-09.
dont know if i will ever do this again. if i wasnt out so much money, id just forget about it. not worth the hassle. i had such hi gh hopes when i started that 90 days would be max.

Re: February Applications
well talked to dps rep on 7-30. day before i came back offshore. they are still missing 1 fingerprint card the fbi one. she is sending new cards for me to redo again. after i got offshore wife emailed to say she found receipt. we mailed card 6-25 signed for at dps 6-30. so where is this card? why do they not have record of it? im getting so mad right now. ive been waiting on this since feb 27th. 7 mos is bull. what do i do? someone please advise. she said all they are waiting on is fbi check all my backgound checks are in. i wont be back from offshore unil 8-13. so by the time get them redone, send in again, and have to wait some more its going to be 8-9 mos just trying to get a chl.

Re: February Applications
need some advice from the board. have had application in since Feb. 27th. prints redone in may. forgot info on the new print cards. they sent one back in and filled it out and sent back in. the second card was sent back out to me on June 23rd. for missing info. i know its my fault i forgot the info, however why couldnt they of sent both cards back to me at the same time, instead of 2 weeks apart. i talked to a rep friday, and she said they are still waiting on the second card to show back up. my wife sent it in certified mail return receipt requested, but we never got a signature card back. she cant find our receipt to show when we mailed it. The rep told me to wait until i get home next month ( work offshore and leave this week, wont be back until 8-14.) to call back in and see if card has showed up. that will be almost 7 mos. of waiting for this dang license. im about ready to pull the rest of the hair i have left out and just say the heck with it. this is the most dificult process i have ever done, and i was in the military. should i call dps and just request new blank cards, resubmitt prints again, with all the information. or wait until i get home next month. i am so tired of waiting. thanks for letting me vent and can someone tell me what i need to do to get this done.

Re: February Applications
hey new guy here, been lurking for a while but just registered and had to vent. took chl class early feb. packet confirmed delivery to dps 2/27/09
pin recieved 3/27/09.
been in processing ever since and waiting patienly or inpatient however u want describe it. well i work offshore and just got an email from wife that fingerprint rejection letter came along with new cards. now i was on day 75 and got fingerprints rejected. is this normal? it will be 2 weeks before i can get home to get them redone, then have to mail them back to austin, then go thru the background phase again with new prints? am i assuming this correctly, so i can add 3-4 more months of waiting? ps im no where close to harris county, but my company headqtrs is in Houston, so on application i had to list this as my job, even though i fly to n.orleans every 2 weeks to catch a helo offshore. i never get close to houston, so will this throw be behind somemore. very frustrated right now, if they are going reject something shouldnt it happen earlier in the process? not until ur 2 plus months out. why does tx make it so difficult to get a chl. im ex leo, so i know i have a good set of prints on file, why cant they just use those. well thanks for letting me vent. look forward to visiting on here when i can.
