to Carl in Katy- One thing I can tell you is that this fingerprint thing has affected thousands of people, whether you choose to beleive it or not. It may seem like you're being singled out or that it's some "conspiracy", but neither is true. There are tons of people who have had their prints taken before yours and are still waiting on the system as well. I can tell you that no one at DPS gains any benefit on purposely delaying applications, if anything, it makes their jobs harder and more complicated. I understand the fustration, just don't play the conspiracy card or pretend like you are the only one, or even one of just a few. You are one of thousands and are caught up in a software problem. Don't give me the "try walking in my shoes" line, as many long time forum members remember, there was a thing called Hurricane Ike a few years back, back then, it was normal for all new applications to take 3-4 months- and those were the lucky ones.
