renewal fee
Its time for me to renew my chl again and I've been told that I can only renew online. When I go through all of the crap to renew, at the end I find that the "fee" (meaning tax) is $70.00 but the only way to submit it is through Texas.gov and they are going to charge $73.75 (?) or an ADDIT...

Pistol brass for sale-.40, .357 Sig, .38 spcl, 9mm
I have some pistol brass I would like to sell. All brass is what I had planned to reload for myself so it's not junk and as far as I know, it's all 1x fired although a few 2x may have slipped in on me that I'm not aware of. These have all been washed in citric acid/vinegar, then tumbled in treated w...

Re: WTB: Gun range bag
I've got 4 or 5 of the Midway ones Pawpaw recommended and one other (high dollar) bag that I don't remember the brand on. The Midway bag is just as good as the higher priced one (in my opinion, YMMV) and cost alot less. It was only after buying the high dollar one that I found the Midway's. I bought...

Gun Stolen
My son had a Springfield XD45 stolen out of his truck last Thursday night (5/28/09). The truck was parked at a friend's house while they went bowfishing. Other than a pair of footprints walking up and down the driveway (and the missing pistol), there was no indication that anyone had been there. The...

Re: Taurus 1911b - opinions?
The only downside of the Taurus PT1911 (from what I've read) is that alot, if not most, of the internal parts are MIM. I had been waiting on getting one when they came out in stainless (I hear they are finally out) but now am having second thoughts. For the price, there are alot of added "extra...

Re: 2008 NRA Board of Directors Election
I just received my March "American Rifleman" today and filled out the ballot. The 1st couple of votes weren't tough-#1. Charles Cotton, #2. Tom Selleck (Sorry Tom, I love you Brother but Charles is the man!), and after that it was reading the bios. Anyway, I am thankful for all of the effo...

Re: Am I missing something regarding cost savings?
If you really want to see some savings, reload for rifle calibers. Brass cased .223 factory ammo is $330.00 per 1,000 and up. Using Winchester powder and primers, Hornady FMJBT 55gr bullets, and buying once fired brass, you can reload for under $200.00 per 1,000 (not figuring in the reloading equipm...

Re: Mosin Nagant
I've been told that the M44 was "designed" to shoot with the bayonet extended and is more accurate that way. I have an M44, a 91/30, and an older Dragoon that was rearsenaled with a 91/30 stock. I love these guns! Well, "love" may be a little strong for an inanimate object, but I...
