Re: May 2009 Applications

Still no plastic in the mail! My status changed on 9/2/09 so with the holiday I thought it might arrive today. WRONG! Maybe tomorrow. This reminds me of waiting for my DEROS (Date Eligible to Return from Overseas Service) date to come so I could home. :patriot: The last few days always seemed to drag by so slow. At least then I KNEW when the exact date would be. Oh well, can't be much longer now.

Re: May 2009 Applications

FINALLY! I checked my on-line status last night and there was no change. Checked again first thing this morning and to my surprise I see "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active" !!! OMG I thought they had forgotten me. Only 112 days - Hope I see plastic in mail very soon. I believe once the system displays this then the plastic has been sent out? No? Hope so anyways. :hurry:

Re: May 2009 Applications

Well, I called again. Their system was back up today. The lady told me that mine "has been sent to the manufacturer to print. You should see it in 2 weeks". Ohh kay. I suppose I'm back to the old two week wait AGAIN! Hey, at least I know it's there and this SHOULD be the last two week wait! :hurry:

Tarrant County, Digital prints, Retired US Army w/good DD Form 214 - Lucky me nothing got rejected.

AGENT-X wrote:I just got off of the phone with a lady from the DPS CHL department and she said that mine is being printed and that if it was in the next batch to come in from the manufacturer that I should have it in two weeks. I'm not sure what that means but, I'm starting to think they are just telling people this to get them off the phone.
I have been told that for at least two weeks now. I called today and the same lady I have talked to the last two times told me that their system was down today and it might be up tomorrow. She told me last week that everything was approved and she was going to hand it over to a "supervisor" to go to print and that I should have it in a week or so. I saw in the April thread that this response was given to one other guy who actually got his in a week. So we'll see, but I'm no longer holding my breath. She also told me today that my "on-line" status would continue to show "Processing Application" even though all is approved and it's gone to print. :confused5 :banghead:

BTW, I'm in Tarrant County and they received my application 5/11/09 - for what it's worth!

Re: May 2009 Applications

My 90 day mark was 8/11/09 so I called today and was fortunate enough to speak with a very nice lady there. I asked "I'd like to find out what is the problem with my application" - instead of my usual "can you tell me the status of my application". After verifying who I was, she stated, "No sir, there's nothing wrong. In fact, we've gotten back all your back ground checks and they are finishing the review... it should go to print next week". I said "so are you saying it's approved or will be and don't forsee any issues or what?" And she said "Yes, that's correct." :woohoo

I now feel very confident that all will continue to go through and I might even have plastic in hand in 1-2 weeks. Hang in there guys... Our time is coming! :txflag:
