Re: The Arms Room, League City

I was in there yesterday, Friday, picking up my newly acquired S.A. 1911 for some sight work. Love that gun, my first 1911. Noticed a few new faces and have over the last few weeks. I know they have a lot on their plate with the new location and getting it opened. I do hope the AD was something that is addressable for them and not affect them. I have gotten excellent service from them on different weapons both bought there and not. Would like to know as we all do the circumstances, but I suspect and have confidence it will be corrected whatever the issue was. They are good people from my dealings. I wish the well and prefer to give support to local businesses. Just my way.

As for the new membership rates, I know for me it is a tough price for the top end one. I know they calculated the use of non memberships as some theoritcal number of times someone would use an indoor range, use the extra services and all to equate to the value of someone who has the membership. Basically, if I was not a member and/or was a member what is the price break point of number of times used between the two and where the cost/value line crosses. Like the supply and demand lines in economics. Then you throw in the convience factor for access to lanes in crowded times, transfers, price breaks on items bought, classes and so forth. So I suspect depending on a persons needs for indoor range time it can be considered valuable. Now for me I will never give up my PSC membership. I like much of what they offer. Now to get my wife out to shoot, comfort is a big deal. So I am looking at the indoor range to get her out more and that is good for me. Pricey, yes agree. Future value, like buying stocks, you takes your chances. I want to get the membership if I can swing it because I think for me, long term it may have value. I may be wrong, if I am then it is me who made the decision. I do look for having options on some things and I see their range as an option for me rather than a one or the other type of decision. Just my two cents.
