It sounds like we need an instant check system for I-9 like for 4473. It should be easy for the government to verify, at the minimum, the name, age, and other information match the social security number.
duns wrote:Perhaps we could get back to the thread topic which was not illegal immigration per se but illegals crossing the border armed with weapons?
Shoot them. Leave the bodies as a warning for other criminals.
:iagree:

If they are coming across with weapons it is now an armed invasion and we should have an armed response.

No clue, I never requested a SSN. He is driving a Texas licensed truck, do illegal residents have easy way to secure a TX DL? I don't hire illegal residents if I do know for fact they are illegals. This guy was recommended by next door, an ex-LEO.

Regardless, I mentioned my Gardner, cause he is Mexican and speaks no English. A misery, unless you are living in Mexican Enclave in south Dallas.
I think this is a problem from any of the cultures that isolate them selves into the ethnic communities. At my job we have a lot of Mexicans, Laos, vietnamese, Cambodians etc. Some of the Asians speak 2 Asian languages but most the line workers have trouble speaking English and the company enables this by printing everything in Spanish and Vietnamese. Before my wife came here I wrote to DPS asked if they had a Chinese language drivers manual, reply was no only English. I thought that was at least fair, then she gets here studies in English and takes the test in English while I am waiting for her to finish the person behind the counter is handing out Spanish language drivers manuals. Go figure.

It took me 8 years to obtain my own green card, so I do understand (I hope to obtain citizenship quite soon). Don't you think it should be easier to obtain work visas and green cards? IMO, the USA needs more decent, hard-working people with clean records. There seem to be a lot of hurdles put in their way without any reason.
Currently our laws only hurt and delay those coming here legally. I believe there should be faster easier ways for people to come here however that does not give a free pass or excuses to come here illegally the people coming across the border are not the cream of the crop they are desperate people in search of an easier life and don't have much to lose. Some may be great people however they may also be the scum of the earth I would like to be assured of what types we allow in, hence our immigration laws and the processes, as much as they are broke they are in place for a reason.

It's law breaking, yes, but it is not actually a crime so it should not be equated with criminal behavior. You do know that illegal entry is merely a civil offense, like a traffic infraction?
And, you are aware, are you not, that traffic citations, despite being civil violations, are punishable by a fine; and if the fine goes uncollected, there is a warrant issued for your arrest?
Not to mention DEPORTATION! as well as getting banned for being here illegally.

You will notice the last line were it says "6.91 Years" well had the system worked as it was supposed to that would be 3-4 years. Now over this time I spent 10's of thousands of dollars in travel, hotels and fees. All because our system is broke. These illegals are here illegally and should follow the process just like everyone else I don't care how bad their country is or why, it is their country they can fix it not come here and screw up mine. Honestly I support stopping any and all funds going to any country that has illegals here, sealing our borders by force if necessary. Don't care a bit about what Calderon thinks he has no grounds to complain about our system when his is so messed up.
