I use bright orange Testers-brand model car paint (available at any Michael's or Hobby Lobby) to paint the little fixed front sites of my J-frame revolvers. Works well, very bright, stays on for quite a while as long as you don't inadvertently scrub it off while cleaning. And if it does scrub or wear off, just re-apply. One little bottle will probably last the life of the pistol.USA1 wrote:No, the one I have is just like the one in the above video...(all nickel finish)shortysboy09 wrote:Is the one you have now the CC version? The one I got yesterday is the CC version and my only complaint with it is the sights. So small it's tough to see. Is there anyway I could paint them or something to make them more noticeable?USA1 wrote:The first one got sold when the .380 ammo famine was in full force.surprise_i'm_armed wrote:
Did you say that your current Bersa purchase is your
2nd? Do you still have the 1st one?
The second (current) one was picked up the other day because I couldn't pass up the deal on it.
As far as the sights..I've never seen the CC version so I can't speak much about the sights.
I would imagine you could use some sort of white paint with a toothpick to brighten or enlarge them.

No problems. It is an excellent gun, very accurate for its size, and one which I highly recommend to folks who want a smaller semi-auto with the full pleathora of controls - hammer-fired (instead of striker), safety (and decocker too, right?), even a S&W-style internal lock if you choose to use such things. Plenty of folks are still uncomfortable with Glock-type actions and this is a solid pistol that works for many people.shortysboy09 wrote:Thanks for the input austinrealtor. If you don't mind me asking, What was the reason to get rid of the Bersa? Just wanted a change, or some sort of problem with the gun?
I however prefer Glocks and revolvers, so I sold my Bersa and picked up a Walther PPS, which works on a Glock-type action, is same basic size as Bersa, fires the more potent 9mm round, but cost twice as much.
So the PPS plus a S&W J-frame revolver sorta make the Bersa redundant in my particular arsenal.

Owned one of these for a short time and it rode well in a HighNoonHolsters.com "Split Decision" ... http://highnoonholsters.com/Product_Lin ... tband.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;shortysboy09 wrote:Are all the Bersa Thunder owners using? I have a crossbreed supertuck for my Taurus 24/7 but was thinking with the Bersa being much smaller and lighter I don't need a full size crossbreed to support its weight. I got a pocket holster in the deal from Desantis which i don't know if I will use it because I wear jeans too tight.
Good holster at a decent price. The $100+ horsehide version would probably ride even better, but for that price I'd go with a Crossbreed type.
