The one I saw was a full draw, tactical presentation at eye level. Quite a bit different from that fellow. The slide racking takes place at eye level as the gun is "pressed into" position.SCone wrote:Here's one...

Not a full draw from a holster, but it gives you the idea of how quick it can be.

Re: Do you keep one in the "pipe?"
There is a video, I've seen it, and I did look for it last night. But it's not a Krav Maga vid, or a "IDF defense training". The guy that is showing the "move" has several vids of himself and another guy that appears to be a student. Looks like they are in a caliche pit in Israel. Bunch of tacticool stuff. I thought I had it marked, but can't find it.LedJedi wrote:Wow... ok. 50 brownie points for the first person to find a youtube video of this move!iratollah wrote:Unless you're willing to train in Israeli style carry, of course you keep one in the pipe.
A friend, who is also a Krav Maga instructor, carries regularly but for various reasons, does not keep one in the chamber. But he's practiced enough that he can chamber one in a fraction of a second, says he can even rack the slide on an opponents face if he's grappling.
I'm WAY too tired to go on a hunt and will probably forget about it in the morning :)
