Re: 7.62 AR Build
Put 50 rounds through it last week with zero issues, used a mix of mil-surp and hunting rounds.
Guess it's a keeper.
Ordered a scope and mount for it. Trigger is next on the want list.

Re: 7.62 AR Build
Nope, I initially just bought the stripped upper and the lower kit from palmetto.TxLobo wrote:is that their PA-10 Kit they list for 599.99 ?
what extra parts are needed?
Found the DPMS SAS barrel and the Midway Industries SSM handguard.
The bolt is the PTAC Two Flat bolt on Palmetto's site.
Hope to get it to the range soon, let you know how it goes.

7.62 AR Build
So, I gave in to temptation the other day, , and brought in a Palmetto State PA-10 upper and lower.
Which, of course, meant that I HAD to purchase the rest of the stuff just to get it built up to a real and functional rifle.
Got the final parts this afternoon and had to show it to someone who may appreciate it. (The wifey says it's too heavy...)
It was great fun to put together, range trip soon, and then maybe, just maybe, if it behaves well, a scope.
