I called my senator's office today and spoke with his assistant. She said that they are really working to get more funding for the DPS CHL office because of the number of complaints that they are getting.
I spoke with another person in another office relate to this who said that less than 20% are getting issued in the first 60 days.
Kinda sad but that's the way that it is.

just check mine and my status finally changed, unfortunately it's 1 day before my birthday so I lose 1 a year by one day. But nonetheless I am excited.

If you call them they will tell you the date that it was received and the date that it started processing.

anyone got any advice for me on what I should do? I emailed my State Senator and house rep with no reply.
I have called DPS and they say they have no idea when it should be back.
I am considering going down to dps and speaking with someone that may be willing to help or calling my senator, anyone have any advice?

Congrats on that. I wish that my senator or rep would actually get back to me. I spoke with DPS yesterday and they said they are still waiting to get my background check back from the Travis County office. I asked them to call over there and they said they have no contact info for that office. How is that possible that they have no contact info?
