Re: Amusing DPS encounter in Hickory Creek (Denton County)
I was driving below the speed limit on the way home from work - about 55-60 in a 65. There was a grass fire off in the distance on the side of the road. The truck I was behind was the reason I was driving below the speed limit - he was interested in the fire, I was interested in getting home after ...

Re: Another state will become shall-issue
There's just something that really sticks in my craw about a cop on an ego trip that decides that some carry and some don't. Kudos to the state of Iowa..

Re: AZ's "new" immigration law
The headlines will read, "Obama calls for<fill in the blank>". He'll demonize this just like he does everything that he disagrees with and everyone who disagrees with him. It will be called racist and the Liberals will lay down in the aisles and have seizures. Then Chairman Obama will send...

Here are two I did with a Hobby Lobby woodburner, one with a standard type stipple and the other in a tree-bark texture.

Re: what about carrying at "the tea party"
The law only addresses it as the "premises of a racetrack". There is no reference as to what type of activities would or would not allow CCW. Unless someone has actually interpreted this previously, it could be a pretty expensive test case.

Re: Disarmed
I still say play along, put up with his garbage, then when it's over, lawyer up and go after him. The results will be a lot more satisfying and you won't have been egotized on the side of the road.

Re: Disarmed
No one holds more disdain for power-corrupted, ego-maniacal cops that I do, but even I realize the law says they can disarm you for no reason. The law also says unless you are detained, he has to give it back. It doesn't say he has to give it back loaded, and he doesn't have to put it back in your h...

National Park Carry
I know CCW is allowed, but is open carry allowed in National Parks where state law allows it, such as in Arizona? I'm not too interested in the IANAL or maybe type answers, but if someone could direct me to a reliable info source, it would be appreciated.

I agree with everything said above, but I am waiting for somebody to say <quote> Now they can add your name and number to their police database <endquote> I also agree that you should ask permission to eject the magazine before handing it over. Hoot Why? The law doesn't say it has to be loaded when...

All that Chairman Obama has to do is sign an Executive Order and funds will be restored.

I hope this bill stirs an uprising in this country that makes the Civil War look like a cake walk.. Meanwhile, we sit and wait to see what Chairman Obama's next target is going to be.
