Re: CHL-100 Instructor Signature Options

This keeps getting knocked around so I want to make sure that I have provided the latest information that I have received from the Regulatory Services Division. Start at the bottom and work up. Please note the dates.

Ms. Nealy,

Now I’m really confused…

In your previous email dated Tue 6/12/2012 6:10 AM (see attached) you state:

“The department will accept stamped signatures on CHL-100’s.”

In the email below you indicate that this is not correct.

Please clarify.

Thanks,

Jim McGowan

Re: CHL-100 Instructor Signature Options

All,

I just received this from TDPS in response to my email:

My email:

I am a CHL Instructor. Am I allowed to use a "rubber" stamp for my signature on the CHL-100 application? I understand the potential for someone taking it, but I am holding very large classes (50-100+) and would like to find an alternative to having to individually sign each application multiple times. Thanks so much.

Their Response:

The department will accept stamped signatures on CHL-100’s.

Hope this helps...

Re: CHL-100 Instructor Signature Options

I'm a little concerned about using an electronic signature on this form since some of my students take the proficiency portion with other instructors. I'd like to be able to use a signature stamp and stamp the form as I go.

I sent an email to the DPS today asking about this...I'll let everyone know what they tell me.

CHL-100 Instructor Signature Options

I apologize if this has been addressed before... I wasn't able to find it in the search. :cryin

I am running some very large classes. This requires a lot of time just to sign everyone's CHL-100. Does anyone know if the DPS will allow us to have a signature stamp made up for this purpose? It would really help. My signature is horrible and the more I write it, the worse it gets. After about 25 times, it's all but chicken scratch.

TIA :txflag:
